Welcome to the Summer edition of the Hanwha Techwin “A&E Insider,” your online news source for the latest products, solutions, and resources to support any system design or project need.

The year is halfway over but we’re already on track to finish 2022 ahead of projections. We’ve maintained our positive momentum by continually keeping supply chains intact – even in the face of challenging marketplace conditions — and shipping products on time to meet our customers’ needs. As a result, our revenue and growth numbers through the first half remain high.

This clearly illustrates the dedication of the Hanwha A&E team, but we also wouldn’t have been able to achieve this success without the close collaboration and expertise of our A&E Partners. This network of professionals is an invaluable resource, helping us in every aspect of project design, system installation and product deliveries.

We’re not seeing any signs of this incredible pace slowing, especially with so many new products joining the Hanwha product family. While they all have their unique features and benefits, each is designed with the same concept: to provide the A&E community with more options, flexibility and ease of use.

We’ve highlighted some of these newest technologies in this newsletter, and there are more coming. Stay tuned and if you have any questions, please contact your sales partner.

Thank you,
The Hanwha A&E team

The Power of AI

The addition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning technologies to Hanwha Techwin cameras — especially the P and X-Core series — further enhance their performance and usefulness in real-world applications.

Surveillance camera operators can easily get bombarded with too much information – and too many false event alarms – especially if they’re using conventional cameras equipped with motion-based pixel detection. AI and Deep Learning algorithms detect and classify distinct objects (people, vehicles, faces and license plates) while clearly distinguishing them from their environmental surroundings.

These smart cameras filter out irrelevant motion triggers to focus only on people, objects and vehicles, and generate only the events users need to see for effective forensic searches and enhanced operational efficiency. As a result, they also minimize storage and bandwidth by not tracking and recording every type of object in motion.

By using these powerful technologies, combined with our intelligent analytics, you are better equipped to design and build the safest and most efficient surveillance environments.

Multi-sensor, Multi-use, and Multi-benefit

Hanwha Techwin’s new AI-powered, dual-channel, multi-sensor cameras deliver multi-use benefits. These include enhanced image quality, next-level cybersecurity and NDAA compliance, with options of 6MP x 2 or 2MP x 2 resolutions and featuring powerful Deep-Learning based object detection and classification, license-free analytics and available with a range of motorized vari-focal lenses.

The new PNM-C12083RVD supports 15fps image capture and true 120dB WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) without compromising the frame rate for each of its 6MP sensors. Motorized vari-focal lenses offer a focal range of 3.54–6.69mm for flexible field of view adjustment in each direction. Similarly, the new PNM-C7083RVD supports 30fps with 120dB WDR for each of its 2MP sensors. The camera’s motorized vari-focal lenses support a range of 3.0–6.0mm.

Another key member of the Hanwha multi-sensor family is the PNM-9031RV, which also recently enhanced its capabilities through a firmware upgrade. For more information please read the full press release below.

TID-600R Network Intercom Station

Driven by an increased awareness of the safety risks from high-touch surfaces, as well as the compliance requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the new TID-600R Network Intercom Station delivers a public health-focused security solution. With a slim form factor, the new station features a unique, touchless call system. Users simply hold their palm within six inches of the station to initiate a call. The station fully supports SIP 2.0 and can easily integrate with a range of VMS, access control, SIP phones or PBX servers.

In addition to its no-touch benefits, the intercom station incorporates a two mega-pixel fish-eye lens for an expanded field of view and a tilt-angle mount, further setting it apart from competitive models.

Wisenet SKY

When system design needs call for a flexible cloud storage solution, this cloud-based VMS is an enterprise video management system allowing users to centralize all security cameras, regardless of location. Wisenet SKY supports thousands of IP and analog camera models for easy compatibility with existing infrastructures. Operators can easily make changes, add cameras, access and share archived footage from a mobile device.
