Hanwha Techwin to Unveil New Intercom Station and Range of Audio Products at GSX 2021

Featuring touchless intercom interface and powerful, stylish network speakers that add new audio features and functionality to security systems

Teaneck, NJ, September 22, 2021– At GSX 2021, in booth #1641, Hanwha Techwin, a global supplier of IP and analog video surveillance solutions, will announce a new touchless network intercom station and a range of network audio products including stylish and highly versatile speakers, a microphone station, analog audio conversion module and audio server for large speaker deployments.

Network Intercom Station

The TID-600R Network Intercom Station features a 2MP sensor with Hanwha Techwin’s signature WDR (wide dynamic range) and low light performance for best-in-class images. The lens offers a wide 180° field of view while IR provides up to 16 feet of illumination from the station at night. The built-in speaker and microphone provide excellent call clarity with up to 85dB of volume at 20 inches. The TID-600R features a unique, touchless call system where users simply present their palm within six inches of the station to initiate a call. With full support for SIP 2.0, the station can easily integrate with a wide variety of VMS, access control, SIP phones or PBX servers.

The intercom station also features echo cancellation, noise reduction and a built-in tamper switch and relay for stand along door access. Users can program audio messages to be played automatically when the device is approached or when a call is initiated. A range of included Hanwha Techwin analytics such as line crossing, loitering, appear/disappear, and more are included. The slim 1.93”(W) x 6.50”(H) x 1.89″(D) form factor allows easy installation on a door mullion or other surfaces. Tilt mount, flush mount and white/dark grey colors are available.

Network Audio Products:

The range of new IP-based audio products includes versatile and stylish speakers to match any décor. For use with background music and paging, the SPA-B100B/W wall/cabinet speaker and the SPA-C110B/W plenum-rated ceiling speaker are available in both black and white. Background music can also be scheduled from a simple web interface. An attractive pendant mount option will also be available for open ceilings, extending the ceiling speaker closer to ground level for enhanced fidelity.

The SPA-H100B/W is a fashionable new indoor/outdoor horn speaker with over 100dB SPL. Useful for sound deterrence and safety use cases, it can be mounted on a wall or pole and offers multiple secure pivot points. When integrated with a VMS or AI camera, upon detecting a person, a sound file can be triggered from the speakers automatically.

All speakers can be powered with PoE or PoE+ for maximum SPL. Hanwha’s PoE extender cameras are an excellent option to power a camera and companion speaker from a single wire.

The speakers support SIP, SUNAPI, and Open API for ease of integration and compatibility with PBX servers. Live announcements can be made via an SIP phone or VMS.

• SPA-D1000 Audio Module – Allows existing analog speakers to be controlled over an IP-based network
• SPA-S1000 Audio Server – Enables control of large speaker groups (over 512 devices)

The new X series cameras utilize AI to detect and classify people, vehicles, faces, license plates and more in real-time. With a range of available resolutions from 2MP to 4K, the cameras’ deep-learning algorithms can reliably identify multiple distinct objects. False alarms due to non-interesting motion, like wind-blown trees, shadows, or animals are significantly reduced. Analytics become a reliable second pair of eyes to operators helping them know where to look for important real-time events, while making post-event forensic searches highly efficient.
